Shipping Policy for Slavic Wisdom Press

Thank you for your interest in Slavic Wisdom Press by Frantisek Nemergut. This Shipping Policy outlines how we handle the processing, shipping, and delivery of your orders. Please read it carefully.

1. Order Processing Time

  • All Orders: Orders are processed and prepared for shipment within 2-3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Slovak public holidays) after payment is confirmed.

  • Pre-orders or Special Items: If an item is on pre-order or temporarily out of stock, the estimated shipping date will be clearly displayed on the product page. You will receive a separate notification when your order ships.

2. Available Shipping Methods & Carriers

We ship worldwide from Plaveč, Slovakia. The available carriers and methods are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.

A. For Slovakia:

  • Slovenská pošta (SPS) – Standard: Delivery to a home address or post office. 2-4 business days.

  • Packeta (Zásilkovna): Delivery to a vast network of pickup points (e.g., newsstands, grocery stores). 1-3 business days. A tracking link is provided.

  • Courier Service (SPS or external): Express delivery to your door. 1-2 business days.

B. For the European Union:

  • International Tracked Mail (SPS): Economical delivery with tracking. 5-15 business days.

  • Packeta International: Available to selected neighboring countries (CZ, HU, PL, AT, etc.) for delivery to pickup points. 3-7 business days.

  • Priority Courier (DHL, UPS, DPD): Faster, fully tracked door-to-door service. 3-8 business days.

C. For International Orders (Outside the EU):

  • International Tracked & Signed (SPS): Standard service with tracking and signature confirmation. 10-30+ business days.

  • Express Courier (DHL, UPS): Fast, fully tracked, and insured delivery. 5-14 business days.

3. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated in real-time at checkout based on:

  • Destination country

  • Package weight and dimensions

  • Selected carrier and service level
    You will see the final shipping cost before completing your purchase.

4. Shipping Confirmation & Tracking

  • Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number (if available for the selected service) and a link to track your package.

  • Please allow up to 24-48 hours for the tracking information to become active on the carrier's website after you receive the notification.

5. Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes

  • For orders shipped within the European Union (EU): No customs duties apply. Value Added Tax (VAT) is included in your purchase price as required by Slovak/EU law.

  • For orders shipped outside the EU (International):

    • You, the customer, are the importer of record.

    • Your order may be subject to import duties, taxes, and fees levied by the destination country once the shipment arrives. These charges are the customer's sole responsibility.

    • Slavic Wisdom Press by Frantisek Nemergut has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

    • Please contact your local customs office for information on applicable regulations and fees before ordering.

6. Delivery Issues & Lost Packages

  • Failed Delivery Attempts: If the carrier attempts delivery and fails (e.g., no one is present), they will usually leave a notice. It is your responsibility to follow the carrier's instructions for re-delivery or pickup.

  • Address Errors: We are not responsible for packages shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer. Please double-check your shipping information at checkout.

  • Lost or Stalled Packages: If your tracking shows no movement for an extended period (e.g., 20 business days for international shipping), please contact us at slavicwisdompress@gmail.com. We will open an inquiry with the shipping carrier on your behalf. Please note that carrier investigations can take time.

7. Digital Products (E-Books, Digital Wallpapers and Images)

  • E-books, Digital Wallpapers and Images are delivered instantly and automatically upon successful payment.

  • You will receive a download link via email to the address associated with your order. The link may also be accessible from your account on our website.

  • Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not see the email. If you still encounter issues, contact us immediately.

8. Returns & Shipping

Please refer to our separate Return and Refund Policy for detailed information. Please note:

  • Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping for non-faulty items.

  • We recommend using a tracked and insured service for returns, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit back to us.
